The Task menu contains the following commands:
Connect is used to create a Message starting from a Task or an Event in a Task Diagram.Small circles represent the position of the points. If you click on a space, the new point will be an intermediate point. A Connection can have a maximum of 30 points. To complete the Connection, click on the Task or Event which will be addressed by the message.If prompting is switched on for Messages you are asked for the name of the Message. Otherwise you can name the Message later using the Alter command from the Message pop-up menu.
Alter enables you to create or modify the name of the Task.
Resize
Small. The icon is changed to the "small" size.
Medium. The icon is changed to the "medium" size.
Large. The icon is changed to the "large" size.
Shrink/Grow. Use the mouse to drag the icon to the required size.
Delete enables you to delete a Task and its Messages from the diagram. To undo the deletion, use Undo.
Edit
Purpose enables you to edit the Purpose of the selected Task. It opens an editor window which contains the object ready for editing. You can also edit textual elements of Tasks from the Task Diagram Selector.
Activation enables you to edit the Activation of the selected Task. It opens an editor window which contains the object ready for editing. You can also edit textual elements of Tasks from the Task Diagram Selector.
Resource enables you to edit the Resource of the selected Task. It opens an editor window which contains the object ready for editing. You can also edit textual elements of Tasks from the Task Diagram Selector.
Priority enables you to edit the Priority of the selected Task. It opens an editor window which contains the object ready for editing. You can also edit textual elements of Tasks from the Task Diagram Selector.
View
Purpose enables you to view the Purpose of the selected Task. It opens an editor window which contains the object. You can also view textual elements of Tasks from the Task Diagram Selector.
Activation enables you to view the Activation of the selected Task. It opens an editor window which contains the object. You can also view textual elements of Tasks from the Task Diagram Selector.
Resource enables you to view the Resource of the selected Task. It opens an editor window which contains the object. You can also view textual elements of Tasks from the Task Diagram Selector.
Priority enables you to view the Priority of the selected Task. It opens an editor window which contains the object. You can also view textual elements of Tasks from the Task Diagram Selector.
Activation Points enables you to work on the Activation Points for the selected Task. It is only available if the selected Task is already stored in the data base. If the Task does not exist in the data base the message "Please save Task Diagram first" is shown. If the selected Task is defined the Activation Point Selector appears.
Show Task Diagrams displays a list of the Task Diagrams associated with the selected Task. That is, any Task Diagrams that contain this Task. From this list you can choose a related Task Diagram for modification whilst still editing the original diagram.
Show Traceability Links to
Requirements opens the Autotracer for the chosen component. The Autotracer automatically displays the Traceability Links from the selected object to Requirements objects.You can alter the selections in the Autotracer if you want to display the Traceability Links for different objects. If the Autotracer was already open when you used this command then the entries in the Autotracer are updated.
Modular Design opens the Autotracer for the chosen component. The Autotracer automatically displays the Traceability Links from the selected object to Modular Design objects.You can alter the selections in the Autotracer if you want to display the Traceability Links for different objects. If the Autotracer was already open when you used this command then the entries in the Autotracer are updated.
Check enables you to validate the selected Task based on the analyzer options. You must name the Task before you can carry out this command. To analyze the whole Task Design Model, use the Analyze command from the Design menu. When the analysis is complete an output window is displayed which contains a list of the errors found.
Annotations enables you to attach annotations to an object. The Annotation Selector is opened listing the Annotation types available for the object.
